New Barefoot Running Tees!

A collaborative effort Since my surgery on Tuesday I've had lots of time to sit around on my ass. Yup. Doctor's orders. Recovery from my biopsy has been good. I'm surprised the pain from this surgery was less than the pain from the needle biopsy I got on my right breast several weeks ago. The only pain I get now originates either from gravity (the pulling on my sutures when I'm standing or stretching) or when I get cold (Um. Yeah. That would be the "shrinkage" issue. The sutures are all along the edge of my nipple. Ow.) So needless to say, sitting on my ass does me good these days. I've had time to work on some designs. I contacted Spreadshirt.com a couple months back to see if they wouldn't mind spotting me a free shirt for a giveaway. I got a message from their customer service rep saying that my email would be forwarded to the marketing department and if they were interested in helping a girl out they would be in contact with me. Paleo leftovers OK. Let me just put this out there. I've never dieted in my life. I've never denied myself anything. My philosophy on food and life in general is never say never. I won't say "I will never eat that or never eat this, or never do that or this." In my experience, every time I've said 'never" I set myself up for failure. I'm drawn to breaking rules or going against the grain even if it's my own rules or against my own grain. Honestly, its fun to be naughty, and the more boundaries I have the more likely I'm going to sneak across them into the dark side. Yeah. I'll admit it. I'm attracted to a little bit of the bad. But, aren't we all? That doesn't mean I give myself full reign to misbehave. I have standards and I hold myself totally accountable for all my actions. But, moderation has always played an important role, and denying myself anything is just asking for trouble. That being said, I spent the last

Video Update - Surgery Scheduled

Sorry for the boring update. My barefoot running journey is starting to be hijacked by all this crappy health stuff. I promise I will find some time to write my review about the paleo diet and possibly post a new T-shirt design soon! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Deflecting Bullets

Remember Wonder Woman? The sexy red boots, golden lasso and wrist shields? She was my hero. I wanted to be just like her. I remember acting out episodes of the T.V. show with my friends where I would do the ballerina twirl transformation. Check out this rad episode . The intro is the best. Not only was Wonder Woman hot, but she could kick some ass. Yeah. I wanted to be just like her. Then, there were Charlie's Angels. Just as bad ass, but multiplied by three. I remember sneaking around the playground wielding my "finger" gun with two hands. I would pick a fight with any boy who was stupid enough to mess with me. And now? If I could be Buffy the Vampire Slayer or any comic book heroette for that matter (is heroette a word?) I would jump at the chance to kick some scary monster ass. Hmmmmm. I just noticed... I said "ass" three times in one paragraph. Hahaaha. Nice. So where am I going with this? Well, I haven't been running and my workouts have slowed consi

My first video blog

Life has been crazy busy lately. I've been getting back into work designing brochures and album covers while my laundry is breeding upstairs. I plan to get back to writing. I really do have stuff to talk about. Until then, you'll have to be satisfied with this small run update via video. (I did a couple small barefoot runs today and did my run workout in my VFFs).  I promise, regular programming will resume just as soon as I can get a grip on my schedule.   . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
