You're pretty much made of iron and stronger than you think mentally. I think in the back of your head, you know most of your doubts are completely unfounded.

If there were betting action on this, I'd probably bet on you hitting the 100, and possibly even being tempted to go at another one within the span of another year.

Good luck choosing the "starter 100," though, or it choosing you. Before you know it, I'm sure you'll be hesitantly clicking send on a registration form.Vaudiophilehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04120467461814379463noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5040068262268266654.post-86796439580987524112012-10-03T18:15:36.857-07:002012-10-03T18:15:36.857-07:00This is exactly how I feel about distances beyond ...This is exactly how I feel about distances beyond 50k. Rio Del La...That's kinda what I'm thinking. Rio Del Lago is more beast, but I'm kinda looking for that whether it be my demise or not. I'd like to know how I can handle something like that.

But those are the trails I already know from running my trail marathon, Blood Sweat and Beers, and other training runs on it. It includes the famous "Cardiac" climb which I know all too well and not sure I want to know. Ignorance is bliss.

I'm just not sure I will be ready for that one. Rio Del Lago. I am with you...Easy choice for me.... Rio Del Lago. I am with you ... Seeing a course for the first time makes the miles go by quicker. But I think an out and back like that will give you the benefit of having some idea where you are for the second half, but at the same time, you'll not be on the same part of the course at the same time of day but it will still be different.

Sounds like there's a lot more "adventure factor" in Rio Del Lago as well.

The loops have some benefit because you can adapt for each lap, but I think it would just be too easy to quit at 60, 70, 80, when things were getting awful. And no thanks to the heat.

Either way, good luck!fitz1jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00780269638050463297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5040068262268266654.post-6347126157528698062012-10-03T12:30:58.206-07:002012-10-03T12:30:58.206-07:00You can do it...
